Economic evaluation is becoming increasingly important as budgets are becoming tighter and demand is increasing. However, economic evaluation in social care is complex and it can be difficult to know where to start. This session will therefore provide a basic overview of economic evaluation exploring the general principles to consider and some of the different methods used. There will also be dedicated time to ask our expert about any questions you have relating to economic evaluation.
By the end of this session you will:
- understand key principles to consider when undertaking economic evaluations.
- Understand the different roles you can take to support economic evaluation.
- realise the complexities involved in value for money calculations.
- feel more confident when considering economic evaluation in your work.
