Driving change through our research roadshows

13 January 2026

Last year we delivered four successful research roadshows on Transitional Safeguarding, sparking interest across Wales.

The response has been fantastic – with every Regional Safeguarding Board (RSB) requesting its own event. This year, with two more events planned, the Knowledge mobilisation team will have partnered with all RSBs in Wales.

Listening to the sector

Our approach is simple: we focus on topics the sector tells us it wants to learn more about. This aligns with the organisation’s research priority-setting exercises and complements the work of our Research team, which produces evidence summaries on these topics.

Recently, the focus has been on priority areas around transitions from children’s services to adult services.

Learning journeys

The research roadshows help us bring people together. We connect researchers, practitioners and people with lived experience.

We've created a platform for people to share their experiences of Transitional Safeguarding and this has been central to the learning supported by our roadshows.

What's new?

We’ve produced a video to help us introduce the concept of the research roadshows and explore Transitional Safeguarding in an accessible way.
