Finding the right support: join one of our innovation drop-in sessions

08 June 2026

Come and find out how we can support you to develop and improve your practice and the services you provide.

From June, we’ll be holding regular drop-in sessions to give you more information about how we support innovation in social care.

In these online sessions, Angharad Dalton, our Head of Innovation Capability and Coaching, will be on hand to offer advice and guide you to relevant Social Care Wales support.

The sessions are open, informal and unstructured. If you’re curious about what support is available or want to explore new ideas, we’d love you to join us.

Who these sessions are for

These sessions are for anyone working in social care who’s interested in the support we offer to develop and improve practice and services.

You might have a particular issue or idea you want help with but don’t know which of our support offers is right for you. Or you might want to find out more about a specific offer.

We can help you find the support that’s right for you.

When are the sessions?

We’ve scheduled four sessions between now and the end of October, with more to follow.

Each session will run from 10am until midday. There’s no need to stay for the whole session – just drop in at any time.

We'll hold sessions on:

  • 24 June
  • 29 July
  • 30 September
  • 28 October

I am the Head of Innovation Capability and Coaching and I look after our innovation coaching service.

We support people working in social care who are trying to improve the way they provide care by helping them to test new ideas, develop new ways of working or adapt what works elsewhere.

My background is varied, but the golden thread that runs through my career is a focus on making life better for people.

I've previously been vice-chair of Cwmpas and worked as a programme manager for Nesta, supporting public service innovation in Wales.

I’ve also developed health policy for the Institute of Welsh Affairs, and pioneering story-centred digital inclusion outreach work across Wales.

I was part of the founding team behind The National newspaper, Trade School Cardiff, and part of Think ARK – a social design collective.
