Help us shape a new approach to positive cultures in adult social care
We’re calling on adult social care providers to help design a new offer that will support positive cultures in the workplace.
Last summer, together with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) we launched the Supporting positive cultures guide. Between now and April, we’ll be working with Basis to carry out interviews, focus groups and research to help develop this work further.
About the work
We’re designing a new evidence-led approach to help adult social care providers embed positive cultures in their organisations. It’s important that our new offer is practical and useful for it to make a real difference. That’s why we need Responsible Individuals, registered managers and other roles that support adult social care to help us shape this work.
To make sure this service reflects the reality of the sector, we’re looking for a diverse mix of adult social care providers. We’ll be asking the group to share their views and experiences in individual interviews or small focus groups, which will help us shape this work.
How you can help
When it comes to embedding a positive culture in your organisation, we want to understand:
- What tools, resources, or approaches are actually helpful in your day-to-day practice?
- Where are the current gaps or unmet needs?
- What gets in the way of embedding a positive culture?
- How does this look different across specific settings (e.g. residential care, nursing, domiciliary care, small vs. large providers)?
Whether you’re at the start of your journey or have well-established practices, we want to hear what works, what doesn't, and what you actually need to help you embed positive cultures in the workplace.

Working with the Rayne Foundation
We’re working with the Rayne Foundation to promote and grow positive cultures across social care. With their support, we’re working with social care providers across Wales to learn about their experiences of supporting and measuring positive cultures within their organisations.
