Innovation skills workshop: Understanding the problem, finding better solutions

Sometimes the biggest barrier to progress is solving the wrong problem.

This practical session will introduce simple tools to help you understand complex challenges, uncover root causes and explore opportunities for change. 

Using real examples from social care, we'll explore how approaching a problem from different perspectives can help you identify new opportunities and develop better solutions.

You'll leave with practical techniques to:

  • define and scope complex issues
  • explore different perspectives
  • identify underlying needs and opportunities
  • create clearer problem statements that help guide action.
