The academy supports innovation in health and social care through case-based learning and practice approaches. There are a range of learning opportunities, including flexible introductory courses (online and in-person).

Developing Evidence Enriched Practice (DEEP)
DEEP promotes the use of all types of evidence to enhance social care practice. Free learning sessions and courses are run throughout the year to support the use of evidence in practice. You can find information on these sessions on our events page.
A network for care homes and researchers that supports and promotes research relevant to the care home sector.
Health and Care Economics Cymru (HCEC)
Health and social care researchers carrying out a funded research project can access support with economic analysis.
Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW) engagement team
The team provides advice, support, research, and training on how to involve the public, people who access services, and unpaid carers in research and evaluation.

Health and Care Research Wales Faculty
The Health and Care Research Wales Faculty provides a range of personal research award schemes as well as opportunities for mentorship, support and peer learning.
Research capacity building programme
This programme supports people into academic research and helps existing researchers to develop their careers, and to become research leaders. It also provides help with shaping research ideas and writing proposals for funded projects.
