Webinar: supporting positive cultures

What is the Supporting positive cultures guide?

In 2025, Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) launched the Supporting Positive Cultures Guide

We developed the Guide to help organisations foster workforce cultures where staff feel valued and respect, and people receiving care experience dignity, respect and compassion.

Our guide provides:

  • an overview of the principles that support positive culture
  • tools and frameworks to support leaders and teams
  • videos of leaders and practitioners sharing their experience of developing positive cultures and its impact.

Supporting positive cultures webinar: our launch event

Our webinar launch event was attended by over 220 practitioners, leaders and partners from across Wales.

Practitioners and leaders shared their experience and challenges on building positive cultures, and highlighted the growing need for more opportunities to work together and share sector wide learnings.

Help us shape positive cultures in social care

We’d like to hear your feedback on the usefulness and useability of the Supporting positive culture guide, tools and resources.

We want to hear your views, experience and support needs when promoting and shaping positive cultures in your organisations and across social care.

Working with the Rayne Foundation

We’re working with the Rayne Foundation to promote and grow positive cultures across social care.

With their support, we’re working with social care providers across Wales to learn about their experiences of supporting and measuring positive cultures within their organisations. We’ll then use our findings to design and test ways of embedding positive cultures across social care.
